One Saturday night we went to eat at a restaurant at the Bishop airport named Thai Thai. As we sat down at our table, the guitarist was playing “Your Cheatin’ Heart.”
After we finished eating the maitre de stopped by our table. He spoke English well, but with an accent.
He said that they have live music each Wednesday and Saturday night. They use local musicians. Next Wednesday they will have a jazz saxophone payer, the next week a violin virtuoso.
As we left the restaurant I had a brief conversation with the maitre de. As we were leaving, the guitar player started a version of “All my exes live in Texas, that’s why I live in Tennessee.”
I commented to the maitre de that none of my exes live in Texas. He said “I don’t know where either one is.”
